Local authors showed no low interest for the recent Burnet County Area Fair Creative Writing Contest.
Several scribes contributed poetry and prose compositions to the contest, each one limited to no more than 500 words. Altogether, the June 9 event attracted 18 writers. "It was a record number of entries," Board Member Kay Lee told the Bulletin.
