Voter registration deadline imminent

If you’re not registered to vote in the upcoming March 5 primary elections, you have only until Monday (Feb.  to do that. Llano County and Burnet County residents who aren’t sure if they’re registered have an online resource to find out.

Visit the Texas Secretary of State’s website, https://www.sos.state. tx.us.

Otherwise, call the lo- cal elections offices: In Burnet County, call 512715-5288. In Llano County, call 325-247-5425.

Early voting for the primaries runs from Tuesday, Feb. 20 through Friday, March 5.

Burnet County

In Burnet County, Polls are scheduled to open for early voting 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 22, 29 in Burnet at the AgriLife Auditorium, 607 N. Vandeveer; in Bertram at the Community Center, 340 S. Gabriel St.; in Granite Shoals at the Community Center, 1208 N. Phillips Ranch Road and in Marble Falls at Texas Tech, 806 Steve Hawkins Parkway.

Also, early voting is planned 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 24, 26, 27, 28 and March 1 in Burnet at the AgriLife Auditorium.

Too, early voting is planned 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 20, 21, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28 and March 1 at all locations.

Also, early voting is scheduled 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 25 in Burnet at the AgriLife Auditorium.

On election day, Burnet County voters can cast their ballots at any precinct location.

Llano County

Llano County voters can vote early at any of three polling places: The Llano Library, 102 E. Haynie, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 20-23, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Feb. 24 and Feb. 26-March 1, 12 -6 p.m. Feb. 25 Kingsland library, 125 W. Polk, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 20-23 and Feb. 26-March 1, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 24; ; Oakridge Estates Property Owners Association, 404 Lake Point Dr., Horseshoe Bay , 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 20-23 and Feb. 26-March 1, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 24

On election day, ballots must be cast at the polling place where you live, by precinct. Those precincts are listed on the county website, www. co.llano.tx.us.

All Election Day polling places are open 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Applications for mailin ballots must be received (not postmarked) by Friday, Feb. 23 at the county elections adminis- trator's office.
