Voters to decide Kingsland MUD, SRBeach elections

The Llano County Joint General Elections slate is set. Voters may choose among several candidates during the early voting period and Election Day May 4, as well as the Democratic and Republican Party runoff primary elections May 28.

KMUD

Kingsland Municipal Utility District Board of Directors Place 1 candidates David Travers, Lewis Young and Josh Caropepe; Place 2 candi- date Dianne Wolfington is unopposed.

Llano ISD

Llano Independent School District trustee, Place 1 candidates are Pamela Huston and incumbent Rob Wilson; Place 5 candidates are incumbent Dean Campbell, Reed Norman and Penny Wimberly.

Llano City

For Llano City Council, voters may choose none, one, two or three among six candidates for alderman, including Shaden Allen, Laura Almond (incumbent), Melissa Baugus, Julie Ireland, Kelli Tudyk and Les McDaniel.

LlanoCo. MUD

For Llano County Municipal Utility District Board of Directors, Place 1, voters may choose none, one or two among three candidates, Nancy Bragg, Janice Luce and Red Stewart (incumbent).

Sunrise Beach

For mayor of Sunrise Beach, candidates are Rob Hardy, John Schwin. For city council, Sunrise Beach, the candidates are Jeffery (Jeff) Cook, Frank Donnell and Daniel Gower (incumbent).

For council, school district and utility district elections, early voting is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 22-26, 29, 30. Regardless of their voting precinct, voters may cast ballots at Horse- shoe Bay City Office, 1 Community Drive, Horseshoe Bay; Kingsland Library, 125 W.Polk, Kingsland and; Llano County Library 102 E. Haynie, Llano.

Voting booths are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 4, Election Day. The location where voters may cast a ballot for a specific candidate is dependent on specific voting precincts as follows: Pct. 101, Llano City Council, Llano Agricultural Building, 1447 East Texas 71, Llano; Pct. 102, Llano County Municipal Utility District, Blue Lake Golf Course, 214 W. Bluebonnet Road, Horseshoe Bay; Pct. 108, Mayor of Sunrise Beach; City Council, Sunrise Beach; Sunrise Beach Community Building 124, Sunrise Beach; Pct. 109, Llano Independent School District Trustees Place 1, 5; Horseshoe Bay City Of- fice, 1 Community Drive, Horseshoe Bay; Pct. 203, Llano Independent School District Trustees Place 1, 5 and Kingsland Municipal Utility District Board Place 1, 2 Eastern Llano Co. Annex 8347 RR 1431 West, Buchanan Dam; Pct. 204, Llano Independent School District Trustees Place 1, 5, Lakeshore Library 7346 RR 261, Buchanan Dam; Pct. 205, Llano Independent School District Trustees Place 1, 5, Tow Community Building 135 CR 221, Tow; Pct. 307, Llano Independent School District Trustees, Place 1,5, Kingsland Municipal Utility District Directors, Place 1, 2, Kingsland Library 125 W. Other important information includes: April 4, last day to register to vote; April 23, last day to apply for a ballot by mail; last day for Llano County Election Administrator to receive a ballot by mail is 7 p.m. May 4 if not postmarked or 5 p.m. May 6 is postmarked by 7 pm. May 4.

May 28 Runoffs

For Democratic and Republican runoff elections, regardless of precinct, early voting is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 20-24 in Horseshoe Bay at the Oakridge Estates, 404 Lake Point Drive; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 20-24 in Kingsland at the Public Library, 125 W. Polk and; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 20-24 in Llano at the County Library, 102 E. Haynie.

The Democratic Party will hold a primary runoff election May 28 between Maggie Ellis and Edward Smith for Justice, Third Court of Appeals District, Place 2.

The Republican Party will hold a primary runoff election May 28 between Mary Bone and Tom Maynard for the State Board of Education, District 10. Also, there is a Republican runoff between Bull Guthrie and Brent Richards for Llano County Commissioners Court, Pct. 3.

During the May 28 election day, voters may cast a ballot 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. They must cast a ballot in the precinct where they are registered to vote as follows: Pcts. 101/108 – City Hall Civic Center Complex, 124 Sunrise Beach, Sunrise Beach; Pcts. 102/109, Oakridge Estates, 404 Lake Point Drive, Horseshoe Bay; Pcts. 203/204/205, Lakeshore Branch Library, 7346 RR 261, Buchanan Dam; Pct. 307, Kingsland Public Library, 125 W. Polk, Kingsland and; Pct. 410, Llano County Library, 102 E. Haynie, Llano.
