Friends, family and schoolmates of Marble Falls student Mylie Ferguson flocked to the school auditorium for her celebration of life services Saturday.

The auditorium was a sea of color, as students and parents remembered the vibrancy of the 15-year-old girl who lost her life in a car accident Jan. 20.

Friends Sarah Hodgon, Paige Lashbrook, Sami Ledbetter and Baleigh Whitman spoke at the ceremony.

"Just as Mylie was always there for me, I want to do the same,” said Lashbrook. "I promised I would be there for her mom... I’m so glad I got to know such a beautiful girl, inside and out.”

A video made by student trainers at Marble Falls High School featured the warm goodbyes of several fellow students and an instructor. Reverend Kyle Byrd of Church at the Epicenter in Burnet spoke at the service about the importance of honoring Ferguson in memory and in faith.

A car wash and bake sale benefit held after the service at Security State Bank and Trust saw heavy traffic.
