C'Shores Council to hold hearing on ETJ ordinance extensionFebruary 07, 2013, 9:50 pm by Alexandria Randolph
Cottonwood Shores City Council voted Thursday to schedule a public hearing on the issue of including the city’s ETJ in the building and zoning code ordinances. The council is also considering adding an ordinance to change the minimum lot size to 100 feet by 100 feet. The ETJ, or extra territorial jurisdiction, is the area
directly outside of city limits. Currently the total square mileage of the city
including its ETJ is around 2.6. "We’re expanding our building code and ordinances to our
ETJ,” said City Administrator Janet Taylor-Carusi. "This is really about making
people have a bigger yard and reducing the amount of water meter demand.” For more on this story, see Tuesday's Highlander. |
