Local dog sees international limelight
Charli Kilpatrick created a now internationally famous video of her Chocolate Labrador Dudley on Sunday. The video now has over 165,000 views.

Dudley, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, is the lead performer in a student video that has gone viral.

The well-viewed YouTube video, titled Ruff Dog Day, features Dudley preparing for a regular work day, toothbrush and all. After it’s initial posting on Sunday, the video has quickly gained international popularity and over 165,000 views.

Dudley’s owner is Charli Kilpatrick, a 2008 graduate of Marble Falls High School who will graduate with a degree of government from the University of Texas in December. Kilpatrick said that she created the video for a class project.

"Making videos is a hobby of mine, but this particular video was done for a communications class at the University of Texas,” Kilpatrick said. "The objective was to create a short video or blog and get 1,000 views by December. We were learning hands about circulation and how to publicize.”
