Mimi, the Yorkie-Chihuhua mix, whose owner allegedly dragged her behind a moving vehicle, has found a new home with a family in Horseshoe Bay.

Bob and Maria West said they were appalled when they saw a news article about the incident of Mimi’s abuse.

"We saw the article and thought we should go by the (Marble Falls) police department and talk to the police about (Mimi),” said Bob West.

When they arrived, they found the police had a long list of individuals interested in adopting Mimi.

Thank God for people like Bob and Maria. Funny but I just told a coworker this a.m. when seeing a dog needing adopting in the paper that I wish I had a place so that I could adopt EVERY dog that needs a home. I have (2) now and love animals.
