Fishing Club holds event on Lake LBJJanuary 18, 2013, 9:00 am by Mark Goodson
The Marble Falls High School Fishing Club will have its first home tournament of the new year Saturday. Fifteen boats are scheduled for the tournament. Anglers will meet at 6:30 a.m. at the LBJ Yacht Club and Marina to start the tournament. Weigh-in is 2 p.m. On Monday, the club had a "standing room only’’ club meeting at Edwards Risk Management office. "It’s so wonderful to see the continued growth in our club and our ability to reach out to the students in our area to share this experience,’’ said Lorna Ellis, one of the organizers of the club.
