Faith Academy moves to No. 1 in girls' hoops

Faith Academy’s girls basketball has moved to No. 1 in the state in the TAPPS Small School poll as selected by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

The Flames are 8-1 on the season and won the Florence Tournament before the Thanksgiving break. The Flames beat Austin St. Michaels in the finals of the Florence Tournament.

The team’s only loss is to Fort Bend Academy in the Bulverde Bracken Tournament.

Faith Academy will be in the Johnson City Tournament starting Thursday.
