Ethel Dale Utzman June 18, 1917 - Dec. 25, 2012

Ethel Dale Utzman, 95, of Llano, formerly of Brownwood, Texas, passed away Dec. 25. She was born June 18, 1917 to Willie Archie (Fuller) DeHay and James Hardy DeHay in Brownwood. Utzman married Leslie Peyton Utzman on Feb. 10, 1939 in Brownwood, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a sister and four brothers.
Utzman had many talents; she ran a worm farm and made her own clothing. She also enjoyed going to the Llano Theater and canning. Utzman always enjoyed doing for others and was an exceptional wife and mother.
Survivors include her son, Roy Utzman of Llano, Texas and her many friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 27 from 6-8 p.m. at the Waldrope Hatfield Hawthorne Funeral Home in Llano. Graveside services will be held Friday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. at the Indian Creek Cemetery in Brownwood with Reverend Jerald Moore officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tow Baptist Church, 16529 Ranch Road 2241 in Tow.
