Sherwood Steadman Sr. Dec. 12, 1929 ~ Jan. 26, 2013

He was born on Dec. 12, 1929 in Rochester, Vt., to Myron and Hazel Swyner Steadman. He served his country through service in the National Guard for three years and then the Air Force for four more years.
He spent many years as a welder, A/C mechanic, electrical contractor, musician, truck driver, and general repairman. He was a faithful member of the Oaks West church of Christ in Burnet for many years. He married the love of his life Dorthy Frazier on Feb. 19, 1951 in Burnet and they spent 63 wonderful years together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Joe Don Steadman, and one grandchild.
He is survived by wife Dorthy; children Myron Steadman of Burnet, Sherwood "Hank” Steadman Jr. and wife Cheri of LaPort, Texas, Carol Russell and husband Andy of Cedar Park, and Pam Crumley and husband Danny of Burnet; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
