Charles W. Rodgers April 14, 1938 ~ Feb. 6, 2013
On February 6, 2013, Charles Warner Rodgers was transformed to his perfect spiritual body with no aches or pains.
He was born 74 years earlier on April 14, 1938 in Littlefield, Texas. His family moved to Borger when he was five years old. He teamroped with his brother Joe until 1966.
In 1974 he received his master’s degree in Operation Research from West Texas State University. Rodgers worked at Phillips Petroleum from 1976 to 1996.
In retirement, he enjoyed being outdoors on the golf course or in a fishing boat. He always said, "Happiness is a 10 pound bass in the boat!”
Left to cherish his memory is his wife and best friend of 25 years, Heidy Rodgers. Survivors include son Richard Rodgers and wife Kelly, with grandchildren Kevin, Benjamin and Jill Rodgers; son Randy Rodgers and grandson Randal; brother Troy Rodgers and wife Audrey; as well as a brother in spirit and fishing buddy, Billy Edwards.
Missing Rodgers drinking a cup of coffee with them will be the Dairy Queen evening bunch.
He was preceded in death by his father Warner; mother Ollie; brothers Jack and Joe; and sister Sue.
They’ll all be there to welcome Charlie to his Eternal Home.
No public memorial service is planned.
