Teresa Grindrod Jan. 11, 1924 ~ Feb. 9, 2013February 06, 2013, 9:01 am by Staff Reports Theresa Grindrod, 89, of Brighton, passed away Feb. 9 in Brighton. She was born Jan. 11, 1924 in Westbrook, Maine, to Philias and Louise (Bison) Begin. She attended Catholic Schools in Westbrook and married Wallace Grindrod on June 19, 1945 in Providence, R.I. She moved to Brighton in 2004 to be close to their family. They had previously lived in Llano for 20 years and outside Howston, Texas for 10 years. Grindrod was a housewife who loved shopping, dining out and crocheting. She also loved keeping her family close to her. She loved to travel, and went to Central America and numerous other countries. Theresa is survived by children Patricia and husband Brian Cooke of Keenesburg, Carole and husband John Fagan of Henderson, Nev., and Nancy Homeyer of Firestone, Colo.; sisters Rachel Hudson of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Gloria and husband George Kirckpatrick of Middletown, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both of her parents and husband, Wallace, in January 2006. Inurnment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Arrangements made by Tabor-Rice Funeral Home. |
